Terms of Service

The terms on which ChainwatchCrypto provides this website and its services. The most important one is in section four: we do not guarantee recovery.

Last updated 21 August 2026Applies to chainwatchcrypto.com

ChainwatchCrypto terms of service

The terms set out what ChainwatchCrypto provides, what it explicitly does not, payment and scope arrangements, and the limits of liability. They state that ChainwatchCrypto is not a law-enforcement body, not a law firm, and holds no regulatory licence, and that no analytical output constitutes a guarantee of any outcome.

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of chainwatchcrypto.com and any service accessed through it. Where you have signed a separate engagement letter or platform agreement, that agreement takes precedence over these terms to the extent of any conflict.

2. What we provide

Blockchain intelligence and investigative services: transaction tracing, address and entity analysis, risk scoring, monitoring, compliance tooling, case management and investigative reporting, as scoped in your engagement.

3. What we are not

  • We are not a law-enforcement agency and hold no police powers.
  • We are not a regulator and hold no licence, registration or approval, and claim none.
  • We are not a law firm and provide no legal advice.
  • We are not a custodian of your digital assets unless a separate written custody agreement exists.

4. No guarantee of recovery

Blockchain tracing can identify transaction activity and potential intervention points. It cannot guarantee recovery of digital assets. We do not guarantee that funds will be recovered, that any exchange or service will cooperate, that any authority will act, or that any legal proceeding will succeed.

Any statement to the contrary, from any source, is not authorised by us and should be treated as an indicator of fraud.

5. Findings and reports

Reports are analytical products. They distinguish observed fact from analytical interpretation from unverified information, state their methodology and state their limitations. They are prepared for investigative and evidentiary use, subject to applicable jurisdictional requirements; we make no representation that a report is admissible in any particular forum.

Risk scores are analytical indicators derived from observable on-chain activity. They do not independently establish unlawful conduct and are not determinations about any person.

6. Your obligations

  • Provide accurate information. An investigation built on inaccurate inputs produces inaccurate findings.
  • Do not submit material you are not entitled to provide.
  • Do not use the platform to harass, surveil or unlawfully profile any person.
  • Keep your credentials secure and enable multi-factor authentication.
  • Never send us credentials, seed phrases or private keys. We will never ask.

7. Fees

Case assessments are provided without charge. Chargeable work is scoped and priced before it begins and does not proceed without your approval. We do not charge a percentage of any recovered value.

8. Intellectual property

The platform, its interfaces, its documentation and its methodology remain ours. Reports prepared for you may be used for the purposes of your matter, including sharing them with your counsel, an insurer, a service provider or a law-enforcement body.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the platform available and will publish component status. Blockchain data depends on upstream providers; where a provider degrades, affected data is marked stale rather than presented as current. We do not publish or commit to an uptime percentage outside a signed agreement.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for the acts or omissions of exchanges, services, authorities or courts, or for loss arising from your reliance on a finding beyond the limitations stated with it.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, for unlawful use, or where continuing would place us in breach of a legal obligation. Retention of case records after termination follows the retention terms of your engagement.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified to account holders directly.
