Paying ChainwatchCrypto

Paying in crypto, without losing the payment

A crypto transfer cannot be reversed. That is a property of the networks, not a policy of ours, and it means the few minutes before you press send are the only ones that matter. This page sets out how we take payment, and — more usefully — the things we will never do, so you can recognise anyone pretending to be us.

Can you pay ChainwatchCrypto in cryptocurrency?

ChainwatchCrypto accepts payment in cryptocurrency on stated assets and networks, following a defined six-step process. It never asks a client to send funds to an address supplied in an unsolicited message, and never requests payment to release findings. Payment details are confirmed inside your account, not by email alone.

What we will never do

Recovery fraud works by imitating the firm you already trust. Every line below is something a genuine ChainwatchCrypto process does not include, so any of them is reason enough to stop and contact us through the address on our contact page.

We will never give you a payment address anywhere other than inside your signed-in account
We will never send you a payment address by email, chat, phone call or social media
We will never ask for your wallet seed phrase, private key or recovery phrase
We will never ask you to pay a fee to release a recovered balance
We will never guarantee that a traced asset will be returned to you
We will never ask you to install remote-access software to complete a payment
Where an address comes from

Inside your account, on the Deposit or Pay screen, after you have signed in. That screen is the authoritative source. If you have been handed a ChainwatchCrypto payment address any other way — in an email, a message, a document, or a page that merely looks like ours — check it against the one in your account before you send anything.

Assets and networks we accept

Kept current from the platform configuration. Confirmation thresholds and minimums are shown because they determine when a payment becomes available, not as small print.

The addresses themselves are shown on your Deposit and Pay screens, each with a QR code, so you can scan rather than retype.

Six steps, in order

1

Sign in first

Every receiving address is issued inside your account, behind authentication, on the Deposit or Pay screen. That is the only place one comes from.

2

Match the asset and the network

The same symbol exists on several chains and they are not interchangeable. USDT on Tron sent to an Ethereum address does not arrive, and cannot be recovered by us or by anyone.

3

Scan, do not retype

Every address is shown with a QR code. Scanning removes the single most common cause of loss, which is a transposed character in a hand-copied address.

4

Include the tag where one is required

On the XRP Ledger and similar chains an untagged payment reaches the platform but cannot be matched to your account without a manual trace.

5

Keep the transaction hash

It is the fastest route to confirmation. Paste it into the declaration form on the deposit screen and the credit is checked against the chain directly.

6

Wait for confirmations

Each network has its own threshold, shown beside its address. A transfer is credited when it reaches that threshold, not when it is broadcast.

If something has already gone wrong

A transfer sent to the wrong network or the wrong address is generally gone. We will tell you that plainly rather than sell you a trace that cannot succeed. What is sometimes possible is establishing where the funds went and whether they reached a service that can be approached by your counsel — which is a different outcome from recovery, and we do not describe it as one.
