Assess the counterparty, and its footprint.
Business counterparty assessment combining the information a business gives you with the on-chain activity attributable to it — so an onboarding decision rests on more than a form.
What is KYB for crypto businesses?
KYB, or Know Your Business, verifies a corporate counterparty rather than an individual: its ownership structure, its regulatory status as a virtual asset service provider, and the on-chain exposure sitting behind the relationship. It answers whether a business is what it claims to be before value moves between you.
What a KYB assessment draws on.
| Input | Source | Contribution |
|---|---|---|
| Declared information | Supplied by the counterparty | Corporate details, ownership, activity description, declared addresses. |
| On-chain footprint | Observed | Activity attributable to declared addresses, and exposure carried by it. |
| Entity attribution | Platform | Whether declared addresses match attributed services, and with what confidence. |
| Screening | Published lists | Designation matches against the entity and its declared addresses. |
| Risk model | Platform | Exposure scoring across the declared footprint. |
| Reviewer judgement | Your team | The assessment itself, with rationale recorded. |

An approval recorded here is your decision under your policy. ChainwatchCrypto does not certify, licence or vouch for any business, and no result from this tooling should be represented to a third party as if it did.
